![]() The episode is very funny as it goes over what skeptics or those critical of the religion find to be massive holes in logic that exist in the foundation of the story of Joseph Smith in the Book of Mormon. "All About the Mormons" is a true classic of the show, as it simultaneously makes a ton of jokes about a religion while also making the point that the underlying mythology is beside the point if the religion ultimately helps people and motivates them to do good. "Dum, da dum dum dum" is the musical refrain for much of this episode as Stan and his family learn the core beliefs of the Mormon religion from a nice new family that has moved to South Park. And we are by no means advocating one religion over another here – but instead taking the position often advocated by South Park, which is that one side is as likely to be right about all of this as the other – and who is any one person to judge an absolute truth? The list is not comprehensive (are they ever?), but each is a strong entry in the South Park canon, and in some way deals with faith and religion. They bashed seemingly anything to do with religion, so surely they are good secular liberals like the vast majority of comedians.
